The solar observatory is a culmination of various steps and processes that all come together to provide individuals with an experienced based upon light and space quality. The taller and shorter spaces were all appropriated to their functions while maintaining the original features of the concept of The Great Divide and its space defining characteristics of the height changes and the separation of structure internally and externally.







ABOUT

Alan Gabriel Escareño is a Mexican Designer with a Master of Architecture degree from Taubman College of Architecture at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He previously received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Texas Tech University College of Architecture in Lubbock, Texas.

He currently lives in Ann Arbor, MI, and works at The Collaborative.
